  1. Will the Hedgehog fit in my boot space?
    When folded, the Hedgehog will fit comfortably in to the majority of car boot spaces. It is roughly 2ft x 2ft x 1ft. Please check the size of your boot before purchase to ensure fit, but any standard supermini and bigger available in the UK should not prove a problem.
  2. Can I get spare batteries?
    The Hedgehog runs off two Lithium batteries (supplied) which between them will deliver between 7.5-9.3 miles each. Additional batteries can be purchased if required.
  3. Where can I get spare parts?
    Contact us for further details on any spare parts you may require.
  4. When will I get my Hedgehog?
    Depending on the courier and your location, we aim to deliver your Hedgehog within 10 working days after arrival in the UK – if you live on the UK mainland. Offshore islands may take a bit longer but in any case please contact us if you have any questions. Please note that each wheelchair is bespoke made to your individual measurements following the completion of the assessment form and ordered from the manufacturers, the delivery lead time from the factory to the UK – the total time from placing an order to delivery can be 2 months.
  5. What about servicing?
    The Hedgehog has been developed to require minimum servicing, if you have any queries contact us.
  6. Does it come with a warranty?
    The Hedgehog comes complete with comprehensive two-year warranty but this can be renewed via our trusted partner Fish Insurance. Fish will send a reminder prior to the expiry date. BPF will ensure that each customer is fully satisfied on delivery, every wheelchair is delivered by an engineer who will set up the wheelchair, ensure that the controls are fully explained, check that the customer is happy with the functioning – even removing all the unnecessary packaging.
  7. Is there breakdown cover?
    Thanks to our partnership with Fish Insurance they can offer national rescue and recovery insurance.
  8. Do I need third-party insurance?
    Additional insurance, tailored specifically to The Hedgehog can be purchased through our trusted partners, Fish Insurance. Although not yet a legal requirement, it is recommended that third party insurance is obtained in case the user causes injury or damage.
    Although partnered with Fish Insurance for the purpose of these insurance products other insurance companies are available.
  9. Can you supply a chair with a larger carrying capacity?
    Yes! We are working on our next model, the “Aspire”, further details to follow shortly.
  10. Can you supply credit terms?
    We are in the process of applying for authority from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and will update you as soon as possible.
